This technology is a CRISPR/Cas9 system that can be introduced using the piggyBac transposon. With this tool, transfection and gene deletion in up to 25% of cells was readily obtained. This simple tool will allow investigators to rapidly test the function of genes of interest in hESC (or any other cell type) and has potential application to high throughput screening.
