This hypomorphic knock-in strain has its Pax2 gene disrupted by an EGFP sequence. These mice may be useful for studying the developing intermediate mesoderm (kidney) and male/female urogenital epithelial structures, renal coloboma syndrome, and renal-specific stem cells.
